Do You Have a Happy Belly?

You all know that gut health is totally my jam. After my hysterectomy 6 years ago (wow, it’s crazy how quickly time goes!) my body was thrown into a tail spin. Foods that I didn’t realized were hurting me began to REALLY hurt me. My skin tried to take over and tell me these foods were hurting me by developing itchy rashes all over. Yikes!

After a year of confusion, another year of going gluten-free, and learning all I could about gut health, I found the answers I needed! It was quite the process, but I did it. And now, as a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I get to help people like YOU find answers, too.

I think that in looking back on my situation, what I find the most interesting is that my body was trying to send me signals that certain foods bothered me long, long ago. I didn’t listen! I was too busy living my standard American life and at that time, I was invincible! I remember Mountain Dew and corn nuts being a fairly regular occurrence. Eww. I truly couldn’t touch those things now without EXPECTING a horrible tummy ache.

Have you ever been in that situation? Where you can literally get away with eating anything you want, even if you KNOW it’s not good for you? Me too. Till I couldn’t. Ouch!
